South Houston boys varsity soccer lost with a score of 1-3 to Memorial in a heated game in the Pasadena ISD Veterans stadium on Jan. 19. “I think we deserved the win,” said Abraham Lopez, a player for the SHHS varsity team. South Houston played hard and though against Memorial throughout the whole game. South Houston’s defense worked together to stop memorial’s offense but broke through multiple times. South Houston’s goalkeeper was quick to stop the ball even if it results in a friendly injury but wasn’t enough to stop shots from the strikers. “We played like a team,” explained Agustin Laredo, the varsity soccer coach.
