Texas Invitational Draws to an End

The McDonalds Texas Invitational basketball tournament ended Saturday, Nov. 21. A total of six games were played in the South Houston High School competition gym. All the boys games played at South Houston were for the Division Two Bronze championship, third place and consolation titles. Girls played in Division Two Silver, Bronze and Consolation elimination games.
Results for Boys Games
Pasadena and FB Austin played intensely and were toe-to-toe up until FB Austin won, 54-49, for the Division Two Bronze championship. This was the first time Pasadena went so far in the Texas Invitational.
SA Clark boys played against Rockwall for the Division Two Bronze Consolation, but SA Clark could not keep pace as Rockwall won, 54-27.
SB Memorial boys played against Deer Park for third place, and Deer Park won, 60-42.
Results for Girls Games
Dawson battled CC ray for the girls Division Two Silver Championship. CC Ray came close, but it wasn’t enough to win the game. Dawson won, 42-37.
Sam Rayburn played against La Porte for the semi-finals girls Division Two Consolation but lost 23-41.
The Pearland girls contended with Eastwood in a semi-final for the Division Two Silver bracket, and won 52-44.
