Cinco Ranch Are Division 2 Gold Champs; Trojan Boys Win Division 2 Bronze 2nd Place

Girls’ Division 1 Bronze and Boys Division 2 Gold competed at South Houston High school during the third day of the McDonalds Texas Invitational on Nov. 17. In addition, both girls and boys teams from South Houston High School went off campus to continue to compete in the tournament, with Trojan girls playing in the Consolation semifinals, and SoHo boys going for first place in the Division 2 Bronze championship.

First up, is a wrap-up of the South Houston High School Trojan results. The Lady Trojans basketball team played against Rayburn at Dobie with a final score of 43-40. Rayburn took the spot in the consolation semifinals. SoHo boys played Crosby and got second place in Division 2 Bronze Championship. Crosby won with a score of 47-49.

Next, here is a summary of the results for the games played at South Houston HS gym.

The first game started at 9 a.m. Alief Hastings took the win against SA Johnson with a score of 60-41 and went on to play the girls Division 1 Bronze consolation final.

In game two, Clear Brook vs. Angleton, Clear Brook won the third place Consolation for Division 2 Gold with a score of 61-47.

In the third game, Keller Timber Creek vs. Conroe, the final score was 44-46, with Conroe winning first place Consolation in Division 2 Gold.

Game four had Langham vs. Grapevine fighting for third place in the Championship for Division 2 Gold. Grapevine High School won with a score of 68-50.

Finally, Cinco Ranch and Ridge Point played for the top two spots in Division 2 Gold, with Cinco Ranch taking first place. The score was 68-42.
