Day one of the McDonalds Texas Invitational basketball tournament brought high school teams from all over the region to compete in pool play at Pasadena ISD high schools and Philips gym. Here is a recap of the games that happened at South Houston High School.

South Houston lost to Langham with a score of 60 to 71.

Judson beat Hightower with a close score of  76 to 75.

Dawson won in South Houston’s home court with a score of 69 to 43.

Alvin won against South Houston, 27 to 31.

Judson lost to North Crowley, 49 to 70

Dawson won its second game of the day, this time against Cy-Woods, 56 to 42.

Alvin lost against Langham, 39 to 74

North Crowley won against Hightower with a score of 75 to 69.

At the Phillips gym, the South Houston Varsity Girls lost against Deer Park with a score of 21 to 71.

The tournament continues on Friday and Saturday.
