Texas Invitational Teams Raised the Stakes on Day Two at SoHo

Texas high school basketball teams played day two of Texas Invitational pool play games at South Houston High School’s competition gym on Nov. 17. Here are the results:

During the first game, Humble boys took a win against Converse Hudson, 81-72, sending Humble to the Division One Bronze championship semifinal and Converse Hudson to the consolation semifinal.

Next, FB Ridgepoint boys beat Manvel, scoring 74-43, sending Ridgepoint to the Division One Silver championship semifinal and Manvel to the consolation semifinal.

In the third game, Pearland Dawson boys won against Dickinson, 54-45, sending Dawson to the Division One Gold championship semifinals and Dickinson to the consolation semifinal.

The fourth game saw CC Veterans Memorial girls beat South Houston, 55-20, sending Memorial to the Division Two Silver championship semifinals and South Houston to the consolation semifinals.

Game five resulted in a 40-38 win by Spring Westfield over Plano East, sending Westfield to the Division One Bronze consolation finals.

In number six, Pearland defeated Lancaster, 76-65, sending Pearland to the Division One Silver consolation finals.

Finally, the final game saw FB Hightower defeat Katy Morton Ranch by 80-79, sending Hightower to Division One Gold consolation finals.

On Nov. 18, teams return to play for the Boys Division Two Bronze championship, Girls Division One Gold championship semifinal and Silver championship final, Girls Division One Bronze championship final and consolation semifinal.
